I feel like I have finally calmed down from the game today. My heart however, might say otherwise.
This game was INSANE. I’m not going to lie to you, when Tim had that fumble late in the forth quarter, I was preparing myself for our first loss in 5 weeks. Never doubt Tebow. The team got it done. I still don’t know how….but they did!
It was our third overtime win this season, and we came out on top 13-10. It was a scoreless first half, and remained scoreless for Denver till the forth quarter.
The defense stepped up again against a offense missing Jay Cutler and Matt Forte, only allowing 10 points and recovering a crucial fumble.
Enter Matt Prater. Seven seconds on the clock. 59 yard field goal.
Matt Prater is UNREAL. He deserves SO much more credit then people are giving him.
Marion Barber did something that I still can’t wrap my head around. He fumbled deep into Bears field goal territory rather then running outta bounds and bringing in the field goal unit.
Denver recovered, and we went to down the field and set up Matt Prater for a 51 yard field goal, where he made it and we won out 6th straight.
Tebow played his worse game of the season, by far. The Bears head 7 were ready and prepared for the option, and they let Tebow know. Dropped balls from all the wide receivers didn’t help at all either.
Tebow finished 21 of 40 for 236 yards and rushed for 49 yards. He also had one interception and one fumble.
He got it done, so why worry about HOW he did it. They did. This team did it together.
Green Bay walked all over Oakland, which puts Denver in FIRST place in the AFC west.
It has been seven years since the last playoff game Denver appeared in. With each week the playoffs are seeming more and more likely for this team.
